EARLY 20th CENTURY FOLK ART ARTICULATED TIN MAN WITH SHOES

Early 1900's Articulated Tin Man

This interesting tin figure of a man is jointed at the shoulders, knees and hips allowing him to be posed in various positions. There is a small hole at the top to allow for hanging or mounting and he wears carefully fitted small tin shoes. I'm not sure exactly what his original use was, as a pattern, a toy or a simple folk art expression. Regardless of the intent, he has a wonderful untouched surface and displays beautifully.
